Pete Dulgar

Academia is fascinating but often confusing and challenging, and I am dedicated to helping our clients navigate university life—from writing to grad school applications to classroom culture.

I have been teaching and tutoring English for over 20 years, from ESOL in Japan and New Zealand to creative writing and literature at several universities in the United States. I also have extensive experience tutoring academic writing.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in general writing from St. Cloud State University, a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from the University of Alaska, and a PhD in English from the University of Otago. I also have a Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) qualification.

Other work experience includes editing at several small publishers and proofreading for a variety of businesses.
